Before, you might have gone to a concert or movie theatre and been in the same place as many other people on Valentine’s day. He or she might have felt your breath. It doesn’t matter how well you’ve been vaccinated and boosted this year. You might still want to stay home and enjoy the holiday in a safe place.
Survey Monkey found that 45 percent of adults plan to stay at home this year, which is about the same as last year. Of that group, 42% said COVID-19 was the reason they didn’t go out.
If you and your socially distant partner are trying to figure out how to spend a day together that’s all about being together, there are a lot of things you can do together, even if you’re not sitting next to each other on the couch.
Even though Valentine’s Day in 2022 isn’t as popular as it used to be, you can still make the day fun and memorable. You can take online museum tours and go to a movie with your partner. In this post, we’ll give you nine ideas to help you plan.

Take a tour of a museum, or look at art on Valentine’s day.
It is a good idea to go to a museum on a certain day. To save time and money, you don’t have to go to the gallery in person. You can find many YouTube videos of museums all over the world. If you want to see some of the most famous pieces from the Prado Museum in Madrid, Spain, there’s a series called “Prado Slideshow.”
There is a walking tour of the Louvre in Paris on YouTube that you can look at if you want. Google Arts and Culture also has virtual tours of some of the world’s best museums. Some museums have collections that you can scroll through the same as if you were using Google Photos. You can also check out the online exhibits, which often have more background information. This is a good idea for your date. You can try to synchronize or screen-share, so you both look at art at the same time on Valentine’s day.
Find specific (and not-specific) Valentine’s gifts.
Look for specific tours and classes that are only available on Valentine’s Day on places like Eventbrite or Facebook’s events page. On Eventbrite, you can find a mixology class or a painting class that you can take from home. A spooky tour of Edinburgh or a night with the Flamenco composer will soon be possible to book through Airbnb. There may also be virtual events held by restaurants and businesses in your area.

The more creative people can come up with an art project to do together over video chat on the occasion of Valentine’s day. Decide what you want to draw or paint with the art supplies you have. You can also play Jackbox Games on one device, so you can all play at the same time. Jackbox games like Fibbage, Blather, and Trivia Murder Party are best played with two people.
Classic games, on the other hand, are a good way to go back in time.
You can also play simple games and solve simple puzzles if you don’t want to think too hard. When you were a child, did you play Battleship? Keep in mind that even though Valentine’s Day isn’t virtual, you can still send your significant other Valentine’s card in the mail. Isn’t that even possible? Try to write a message towards someone who you care about. It’s a lovely and personal thing to do.
